Great coffee and lovely setting. I really think the first review is incredibly harsh on such a new place as this cafe is developing over time. If you speak to the friendly staff they will tell you exactly how they plan to evolve and I think Colchester needs somewhere like this that is different to the big brands.

Trendy School themed coffee shop. The Man who owns/runs it was very welcoming and friendly. Love all the small details ... down to the chalk board tables.

A friend recommended this cafe on the edge of the center of town. I have to say it is a hidden gem within the town. It's hard to find somewhere that isn't a chain restaurant that puts the good little touches that makes the experience great. A great menu with a range of dishes for all requirements. Definitely give to another go! Should advertise more!

There is lots of choices on the menu, big selection of yummy cakes and pastries... oh and really good coffee! The staff were so friendly and welcoming we will definitely be coming back!

My daughter is a occasional waitress here. That said I don’t hand out praise lightly. So... I’ve had a delicious breakfast - really nicely cooked and one of the best - and a couple of lovely lunches. The food is honest and straightforward cafe food (jackets, fish finger sandwiches, tortilla, burger etc) and it’s done really well, with care and a nice attention to detail. The staff are friendly, the service attentive. There are high chairs for children, chalks too for drawing on the blackboard tables. The coffees are the best in Colchester, and far better then the chains, and the cakes and pastries look good although I haven’t tried any. There are a couple of bad reviews on here which is a shame, although the one that references another nearby eatery is written by someone from that establishment of which they should be ashamed.

What a really lovely place! Popped in and had an amazing brunch with my friend, it has a nice atmosphere and really nice touches with its decor.... love the black board tables tops!

Chalk board tables and bright decor are really lovely and a concept that not many places have.
